Comments : I want to personally thank Dr. Sarah Grossman for coming to my farm and working with my horse Licorish. I have not been able to get him vaccinated or get his teeth done for over two years because he has sent every other vet running. I have been beside myself for the last couple of years worrying that I would never be able to get a vet near him, even if there was an emergency.
But Dr. Grossman came and put me right at ease from the very beginning. She assured me that she will get it done and will use the best and most humane methods for the job. She also reassured me that there are just horses like this and no one is to blame. I appreciated this because, I really have done everything I could to get him used to vet work. But, he knows the difference between the vet and me.
Dr. Grossman was persistent and competent and never once got mad at the horse. She took the time to get to know him by petting him and feeding him treats. She also took the time to try and understand the problem. Yes, we did have to use restaint with him, but it was never done out of anger or frustration.
Dr. Grossman got the job done calmly, safely, and, efficiently. I can't tell you how relieved I was. But, what was even more impressive is even after the hardwork she did she still took the time to go back and feed him treats so she left as his friend. He even followed her as she walked out the pasture.
I would highly recommend Dr. Sarah Grossman for your large animal vet, especially if you have a challenging horse like mine. I am relieved to know that I will never have to worry about getting this horse vetted again. Dr. Grossman is there for him! Thank you Dr. Grossman.
