Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases may receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. You can always call ahead to see if we are running on time.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, please call at least 24 hours in advance or as soon as possible. This allows us to open your appointment slot for other emergencies. If you miss more than three appointments without cancelling ahead of time, you will receive a warning letter. If you miss another appointment, you will be charged a "no-show" fee.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a short leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express , cash and personal checks.

Care Credit

We now work with Care Credit to offer interest-free or long-term payment plans to qualified applicants. With Care Credit, you can receive interest-free financing for up to 6 months upon approved credit. Please check out the link to the right on our site or ask one of our receptionists for more information when you come in next.

Vaccine and Flea Policy

We require all patients to have current rabies vaccinations. On arrival for any in-hospital procedure, your dog or cat will be checked for fleas. If fleas or flea dirt are noted, we will inform you of this and discuss a treatment strategy. If your pet is not currently on flea preventative, we may give your dog or cat a medication called Capstar that will kill all adult fleas within hours so as not to spread fleas to other patients in our hospital. There is a nominal fee for this medication.

Online Pharmacy Policy

We may no longer refill online prescription orders by fax for some online pharmacies. Unfortunately, we have found that many times we are unable to confirm receipt of the prescriptions and have many problems with duplicate requests or lost prescriptions. Our policy will be to provide you with a written prescription so you can mail it directly to the online pharmacy yourself. When we receive a fax request for a prescription, we will write out a prescription and contact you so that you may pick it up. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we feel it is in the best interest of our patients and hospital.
